Today's technology offers our patients a vast amount of choices when it comes to their prescription lenses. Our staff will simplify the process by helping you select the perfect lenses for you based on your lifestyle.

First Step: Selecting Lens style/ type

Single Vision: Corrects distance, reading, or intermediate (mid-distance) vision.

Bifocal/ Trifocal: Allows you to see at distance, reading, and in the case of the trifocal, intermediate all in one lens. There is a visible line within the lens that distinguishes each area. These lenses offer a wide reading area and are available in different size segments.

Progressives: Also known as a "no line" is actually a multi-focal lens. These lenses also include vision for distance, intermediate, and reading with no visible line. There is a gradual change in the lens from distance to intermediate to reading. It is the most technologically advanced lens. We carry many brands including Varilux lenses. There are now progressives to accommodate the smallest of frames.

Remember, one pair of eyeglasses may not fullfill all of your visual needs. You may need task specific eyewear. If you work at a computer all day the intermediate area on a progressive may not offer you a wide enough field of view. We can design lenses for a particular distance that you work which will greatly improve your level of comfort. A hobby such as wood working or piano may also benefit from task specific eyewear. Tell us your wants and needs and we will advise you with the best possible solutions.

The next step is to select lens options and coatings. Let's take a look.
